Edentify Foundation at the NEVERFLAT General Assembly in Berlin

The NEVERFLAT consortium recently met in Berlin for a two-day General Assembly, bringing project partners together to review progress, discuss ongoing work and align on the next steps.

The General Assembly was organised over two days. The first day was dedicated to partner presentations, progress updates and open discussions on completed work, current activities and next steps.

Partners covered key parts of the NEVERFLAT system, including charging infrastructure, energy management, pilot activities, user-facing tools, communication and exploitation.

The second day focused on workshops, giving technical partners space to discuss dependencies, align development work and address open questions in more detail.

Edentify Foundation contributes to NEVERFLAT in two main areas.

On the technical side, our work focuses on the token-based reward system connected to smart and bi-directional charging. This system explores how users can be rewarded when their electric vehicle supports the energy system, for example by charging during off-peak periods or by returning energy through V2G scenarios.

Edentify is also responsible for communication, dissemination, clustering and exploitation activities. This includes making the project visible, explaining its results to different audiences, supporting cooperation with related initiatives and helping prepare project outcomes for future use.

During the first day, Edentify presented progress on the end-user applications and tokenisation work. The wallet and reward functionality were demonstrated, showing how charging data can be evaluated and linked to user rewards. The current logic includes rewards for V2G discharge and off-peak charging, while the system is being prepared for automatic reward calculation based on charging records.

The demonstration also showed how users could see their token balance, recent activity and relevant transaction information through a wallet interface. The next steps include sharing APIs with project partners, integrating wallet elements into the end-user application and identifying additional actions that could be rewarded in the future.

In the communication and dissemination part, Edentify presented the progress achieved so far. The project’s visual identity, website, communication materials and Meet the partner campaign are already established. Around 40 website posts have been published, the second newsletter has been completed, and the website has reached nearly 4,000 total visitors, including more than 1,800 visitors to the NEVERFLAT website.

The meeting also included discussions on industry and scientific engagement, including the project’s involvement in the V2X Cluster, BRIDGE and other relevant networks. Partners also discussed future scientific publications, clustering activities and how to keep collaboration active with related projects and external stakeholders.

The second day was focused on workshops, giving technical partners space to go deeper into specific topics, discuss dependencies and address open questions. These working sessions are especially important in a project like NEVERFLAT, where hardware, software, data, user applications and pilot validation need to work together as one system.

The Berlin General Assembly helped clarify next steps and strengthen coordination across the consortium.

For Edentify Foundation, it was also a useful opportunity to connect the technical reward system with the broader communication and exploitation work, ensuring that project results are not only developed, but also clearly explained, shared and prepared for future adoption.
